Having high-quality content is important because it represents your brand and shows what you’re about. Good content not only helps position you as an expert in your field but also reflects how much effort you put into your brand. This, in turn, affects how you engage with and treat your customers.
For example, I once worked for an e-commerce store where I was responsible for taking photos of musical instruments. My goal was to style and photograph the instruments in a way that would catch customers’ attention. Since e-commerce sales often rely on trust and clear product presentation, high-quality images were crucial in driving sales.
Example 1:
I took a photo of a black guitar, carefully styling it to highlight its details and mood. I posted it on the company’s Facebook page, and soon after, someone bought the guitar. However, I made a mistake by pricing it higher than it should have been. Despite the pricing error, the high-quality image still led to a sale, showing that well-made content can connect with customers and drive purchases.
