Many years ago, I met Leonard Soosay, a veteran in Singapore’s music industry who owns a music production business, Snakeweed Studios.
Today, with over 3 decades of experience under his belt, Leonard is always seen helping many local musicians and bands to produce their music releases and albums. I had a great time listening to his stories and how his experiences helped to shape his beliefs and goals in helping the unsung music heroes of today. In this short video, he talks about one of the biggest problems he is faced with today — doing it for the wrong reasons.

As a musician myself, I can totally resonate with what he said in the video. Being passionate about something is only the beginning of your journey. Fuelling this passion of yours and evolving it into something bigger requires a lot of patience, discipline, commitment and self-belief. Sometimes, along the way, we don’t receive the response we desire hence, we drift away from our center. Sadly, this is when we give up and call it quits. In short, you can be passionate about something but there will always be hiccups and temptations along the way. Choose which side you want to be on and do whatever it takes to stay on track.
