I have read articles and watched videos on how visualising or working towards your future self can lead to my ideal goals and successes. I have experienced some part of my future self in the making whenever I focus on chasing my passion-based goals as a musician, photographer and filmmaker.

The power of visualisation is awesome. The more colourful and detailed your picture is, the easier it is to be one with, in my opinion. But at the same time, it may not turn out the way we expected it to be or 100% accurate. Why? Because of real-world problems. Money, health, relationships, careers and the list goes on.

Let me give you 3 examples.

My future self as a musician — Yes, I achieved my goal of making a living out of music. I perform in pubs and events, I teach in private and government schools and I conducted masterclasses and judged for a youth band competition. However, the plan for my future self is to tour the world and pour my heart out to millions by playing the songs I wrote.

My future self as a photographer — Yes, I achieved my goal of making a living out of photography. Today, I have created marketing assets for brands and partake in different types of special occasions — weddings, family vacations, etc. However, the plan for my future self is to go on tours with celebrities as their official…
